South Park Skewers Trump’s Bitcoin Connections in New Episode

Animated Series Takes Aim at Trump’s Crypto Ties and AI Obsession
The latest episode of the long-running satirical series South Park has taken sharp jabs at US President Donald Trump, mocking his ties to Bitcoin and tech industry leaders. In the episode titled Sickofancy, parodied versions of executives-including Microsoft’s Sundar Pichai and venture capitalist-turned-White House crypto czar David Sacks-line up to gift Trump Bitcoin in hopes of currying favor.

The show also lampooned Trump’s pro-crypto stance, highlighting his family’s expanding ventures in digital assets, including a trading platform, stablecoin projects, and a crypto mining business.
Satire Blends Crypto With AI and Political Chaos
Beyond crypto, the episode placed heavy focus on America’s AI obsession. A subplot featured a cannabis farmer turning his operation into an AI startup after an ICE raid, guided by advice from a sycophantic ChatGPT encouraging him to flatter Trump for political gain.
Cameos of tech titans-Apple’s Tim Cook, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg-added to the spectacle, each portrayed as eager to shower Trump with gifts and praise. The episode further mocked Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C., portraying a militarized capital city.

True to form, the show also leaned into its trademark crude humor, reviving gags of Trump’s sexual encounters with Satan and mocking Vice President JD Vance as a toddler.
White House Pushes Back on South Park’s Trump Criticism
The 27th season, which debuted in late July, has consistently lampooned Trump, prompting irritation from the White House. The season premiere ridiculed Paramount’s $16 million settlement with Trump over a “60 Minutes” interview, while also mocking the network’s $1.5 billion deal for South Park streaming rights.
A White House spokesperson blasted the series as “a fourth-rate show” struggling for relevance, calling its Trump parodies “uninspired attempts at attention.”
South Park’s History With Crypto Satire
Crypto jokes have become a recurring target for South Park. A 2022 episode lampooned Matt Damon’s now-infamous Crypto.com ad, while two separate 2021 episodes took aim at NFTs and portrayed Bitcoin as the primary currency of the future-mocked as a Ponzi scheme alternative to “rigged” centralized banking.
By tying Trump’s political fortunes to Bitcoin and AI in its latest episode, South Park continues its tradition of biting, irreverent commentary on the intersection of politics, tech, and culture.
