Mint Runes with OKX

Minting is the actual creation of the runes tokens based on the specifications set during the etching.

Step 1: Visit the OKX Runes Page.

Step 2: On this page, you will see the list of Runes available for Minting or Buying. Click on “Etch Runes” in the banner and than click “Connect Wallet”.

Step 3: If you want to mint a Rune, you need to type the name of the Runes token you want to mint.

Step 4: Set Minting Order Details

• Number of mints: To mint multiple Runes at once, specify the number of mints you’d like to repeat.
• Recipient address: By default, the connected Taproot address is automatically set as the receiving address. If you prefer to mint to a different address, simply input your desired destination address.
• Merge Runes: Merge into one Rune to save up to 29% gas fees
• Unique Runes: Create a unique Rune with each mint, which may result in higher gas fees.

Step 5: Confirm Transaction

After confirming your details, submit the mint request. You will need to sign the transaction and pay using Bitcoin from your payment address.

The minting process takes 10-20 minutes. After this time, you will see the Rune you minted in your wallet.

After submitting and signing the transaction, the newly minted Rune tokens will appear in the wallet within 10-20 minutes.
