Strategy Adds $740M in Bitcoin as Price Surpasses $122K

     

Saylor’s firm now holds 607,770 BTC after latest $739.8M acquisition amid Bitcoin price surge

Michael Saylor’s Strategy has made another massive Bitcoin purchase, acquiring 6,220 BTC for $739.8 million as the asset surged past $122,000 last week. The acquisition brings the firm’s total Bitcoin holdings to 607,770 BTC, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

The latest investment was made at an average price of $118,940 per Bitcoin. The move comes as BTC began the week trading at record levels above $122,000 before dipping to $116,000 and later stabilizing around $118,000, based on CoinGecko data.

With this purchase, Strategy’s total investment in Bitcoin has reached approximately $43.6 billion, at an average price of $71,756 per coin. The company remains the world’s largest public holder of Bitcoin by a wide margin.

 

Strategy executive offloads 10,900 MSTR shares for $4.9M

While Strategy was adding to its Bitcoin stack, its senior executive vice president Wei-Ming Shao sold another 10,900 shares of Strategy stock (MSTR), valued at roughly $4.9 million.

The transaction followed a $25.7 million stock sale by the same executive in the previous week, marking a continued trend of insider selling even as the company doubles down on its Bitcoin strategy.
